Diana with the photographer Veronique VerchevalDiana opened an exhibition of photographs taken by the famous Belgian photographer Veronique Vercheval of her travel experiences in Palestine. Ms. Vercheval's aim is to show pictures of peace rather than war and show how the Palestinians attempt to cope in their everyday lives.

The exhibition, held in the European Parliament in Brussels, to commemorate the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people in accordance with the UN resolution 32/40B of 2/12/1977.

Diana said at the opening that she hoped people would take away images from the exhibition which would inspire them to connect with Palestinian people.

Diana said:

"This exhibition portrays the normal life in a place that is far from normal and indeed is extraordinary in terms of the experience of most European who would never themselves tolerate such living conditions."
